We, Jana and Carlos, are your hosts in Villa “El Espuela” (Torrox) and “Casa de la Palmera” (Nerja).

Our international roots and many years of enthusiasm and contact with Spanish culture led us to first buy a house on the beach “Casa de la Palmera” and now also the Villa “El Espuela” in Torrox with the new goal of renting out holiday apartments to Spain enthusiasts or those who are receptive to it.

Our motivation is to show the wonderful world of Al-Andalus (Arabic name for the region) in all its facets and to allow more people to enjoy the nature, culture, hospitality and the wonderful weather conditions of the region.

Our concept is geared towards larger groups, which can also extend over several generations, who want to enjoy a private, high-quality environment. This means that many combinations of use are possible:

• the house on the beach (in Nerja) for 6 people (two couples, each in their own double room and two children in a children’s room)
• the 2 separate apartments (in Torrox) for up to eight adults and children (in 2 double rooms with own baths and living space per apartment), but close to each other

This means you can share the wonderful time together and experience unforgettable moments without losing your privacy.

“Casa de la Palmera” in Nerja is a villa just 5 minutes walk from the beach, on a 300 m² plot with a great view of the sea, Nerja and the Sierra and a wonderful terrace with a saltwater pool. You just need to cross the N-240 road to get to the sea via a staircase. From here you can walk along the El Playazo beach to the town center in 20 minutes. A stop at the Chiringuito (beach restaurant) Mauri and one of the best paella meals in the area is not included. In addition to the pool, the house has an outdoor shower, 200m² terrace, lounge furniture, barbecue and is planted all around with fruit trees (banana, lemon, avocado, mango, orange, fig, papaya, naranjilla, passion fruit) and jasmine. Hammocks, air conditioning and radiators ensure an additional feel-good factor during your stay, even in winter.

Villa “El Espuela” in Torrox is 20 minutes from Nerja in the direction of Torrox Pueblo. You get there via a small side road and from about 300 meters above sea level you can see both the beach of Nerja, the Sierra and Frigiliana. The property is built on a 6,120 m² terraced garden with fruit trees that, depending on the season, produce avocados, oranges, bitter oranges, lemons, mangos, olives, almonds or grapes. You can relax on the various terraces, yoga house, rock garden or the large heated pool with whirlpool after a hike. The outdoor kitchen has exceptional equipment: bread/pizza oven, grill, paella ring, refrigerators and dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, stove and all cooking utensils can be used to host private culinary events. The entire house has underfloor heating and air conditioning, so nothing stands in the way of a stay in summer or winter.

Jana brings many years of experience in organizing and managing holiday apartments and on-site guest care, while Carlos devotes more time to technical issues and the guests’ leisure activities.
